Our annual Powercurve Forum is taking place in a virtual format on October 27, 2022 at 10:00 am CET.

The theme this year is The New Era of Decisioning and will explore the latest credit risk trends, the benefits generated by Machine Learning integration, and the path for adoption of Decisioning on the Cloud.

Luciano Scalise Biography

Luciano Scalise is the Decision analytics Managing Director for APAC and EMEA at Experian. After his master’s degree in economics at the University of Buenos Aires he joined Banco of Columbia as Risk and Portfolio manager with responsibility across Credit products and Risk management. Luciano joined Experian in 2008 and in his career, he has developed a strong understanding of the Financial Sector in South America covering the role of Director of Consulting practice in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil as well as VP for Innovation and Knowledge in Spanish latam. In 2015 he was appointed Country Manager for Argentina, Chile, and Central America. In 2020 he moved to Europe to lead the Decision Analytics Business line for the EMEA region and more recently also for the APAC region. He is a member of the Regional Board where he leads the Products, Analytics and Data Strategy for Experian across Europe, Africa, India, and Asia.

Leandro Guerra is the Head of Data Science and Analytics Platforms for Experian EMEA & APAC. He has over 11 years of experience with a deep interest and know-how in Machine Learning and AI model development.

His recent experiences includes:
  • Development of ML models for risk management, marketing, fraud prevention, HR, healthcare and retail
  • Development and implementation of overall Data Science/ML business goals
  • Management of Data Consultancy Projects applied to credit assessment, marketing, fraud prevention, insurance, HR analytics, healthcare and CRM
  • Development of ML explainability frameworks
Leandro holds a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the State University of Londrina and a Data Science Specialisation from Johns Hopkins University..

Efi Antoniou Biography

Efi Antoniou is currently Associate Manager of Customer Analytics and Decisioning at Hellenic Bank, Cyprus. In her 13 years with the bank, she has held several positions in the data analytics, data management and credit systems and processes space. Her professional interests include credit scoring, credit decisioning automation, customer management and processes optimization. Before joining Hellenic Bank, Efi worked in academia as a lecturer at Frederick University Cyprus and special scientist at the University of Cyprus. Efi has a Ph.D in Statistics from Penn State University.

Jim Nowell Biography

After graduating from Leeds University in 1990 with a BSc Honours Degree in Data Processing, Jim started work at GE Capital where he covered the role of Portfolio Risk Manager, responsible for the Storecards Portfolio. In 1993, Jim worked on the implementation of the Beta version of Strategy Manager and in 1998 left GE Capital and joined the Strategy Management Consultancy team at Experian, where he designed New Business and Customer Management solutions for a wide range of clients and markets, both in Europe and North America. Since 2007, Jim have been delivering “SimRisk”, a set of interactive Business Game in which analysts are trained what to look for when developing a Credit Strategy. Jim's courses help users to smoothly deliver strategies within automated systems, and effectively make the best use of "Simulation" and "Assisted Design Strategy" for Reporting and Strategy Development. Jim today is a well reconised Powercurve "Guru" and his courses are attended every year by hundreds of users worldwide either in person or in remote fashion.

Peter is Head of Product Management for Experian’s Decisioning software solutions for EMEA and Asia Pacific. He has over 20 years product management experience, and is responsible for ensuring that enhancements to the core PowerCurve applications deliver meaningful value to clients and for developing and launching new decisioning propositions based on this core software, Experian’s other assets and partner solutions, including its Credit Bureaux where available, Open Banking solutions and analytics capabilities.
